![]() If you just prayed to accept Jesus, please email me at and let me know about it. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. The Bible says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 CSB).Īre you ready to trust God to fulfill his promise of eternal life? If so, pray this simple prayer: "Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. God proved his goodness through his Son, Jesus Christ. What are some of God’s promises that can encourage you, especially when you are going through a challenging season? Work on memorizing one of those Bible passages this week. What can help you trust him when it’s not going well? It’s easy to love God and serve him when life is going well.If you give up when life isn’t going well, you never learn to trust God. Let those promises give you hope for all that God is doing in you and for you-even when it’s tough. And remember that God isn’t limited by your time on Earth to fulfill his promises. Believe and trust in God’s faithfulness to keep his promises. When you feel like giving up, do more than just hang on. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us” (NLT). Hebrews 11:39-40 says, “All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. Though they endured difficulties, they kept going in their spiritual journeys. Hebrews 11 mentions a long list of biblical heroes who demonstrated faith in God’s promises: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Rahab, Gideon, Samson, and others. And he gives you many other promises throughout his Word. He promises to take away your tears (Revelation 7:17). He promises to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). You want to give up.īut in Hebrews 11, God urges you to hang on in faith because he hasn’t forgotten you, and he will fulfill his promises to you. You also battle against Satan himself, who wants nothing more than to “steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10 NLT).Īnd, sometimes, it just gets to you. There’s a cosmic battle for your life going on inside of you and outside of you. Our relationships don’t work right.Īs Adam was leaving the Garden of Eden, God told him that life would be hard-and it is. Once that happens, we can fully accept the grace of God.It’s not easy to live by faith. Only when we let go of the fear of failure will it let go of its maddening grip on our lives. The Bible says there is only one failure you need to fear: “Be careful that no one fails to receive God’s grace” (Hebrews 12:15 NCV). You’ll never overcome your fear of failure until you fully accept the reality that you’re not perfect. The best professional baseball players will get out two out of every three at bats. The greatest professional basketball players only sink half their shots. And you’ll fail a lot more in the future.Įven superstars stumble. You’re a failure in some area of your life right now. You’ve already failed many, many times in life. Even playing it safe and refusing to take risks is a mistake. As a pastor, I hear people ask all the time, “What if I fail?” I want to ask them, “What do you mean if?” Not only have you made mistakes in the past, but you’ll also make more in the future. The Bible says, “There is no one on earth who does what is right all the time and never makes a mistake” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 GNT). It’s not just a “you problem” it’s a human problem. That’s why I urge you to internalize this one simple message: We’ve all made mistakes. Even some of the best and the brightest people in the world are the most impacted by a fear of failure. Because we’re afraid to fail, we shun all kinds of risks.įor many of us, that fear of failure has an iron grip on our hearts. It can cause you to be indecisive, a workaholic, and a perfectionist who clings to safety. The fear of failure has many different faces. But that kind of pressure creates major stress on people. ![]() In America, failure is almost the unpardonable sin.
